We have come too far

2010, human life have been taking over by technology. We rely so much in it function and offer. It offers convenience and fast feature lifestyle; however there is advantage and disadvantage about it. Technology makes our life easier and faster but on the other side, it harms human ethic and moral, as we start to use it in a wrong way. How many porn video clip we see on TV after midnight? The answer is uncountable. It is not wrong to put an advertisement on TV, but this is public space. Let’s imagine, the website that you click will always have a pornography advertisement banner at one of the corner of website. Is it the right thing to do?

Have you ever heard of this word ‘cybersex’? This word is very new to me. This is actually sound cool to me as well. How can people have sex online and call it cybersex? Isn’t it a bit strange? Personally, this is a very strange issue to me. I used to watch one of my country TV shows. They were reporting about cybersex, but I did not know what is it that the time. A teenage girl was support to be at school, studying, talking to her friend or enjoy her school life. She decided to live with computer instead. What have technology done to our society? This girl sells her body online for those unbelievable creatures. People would pay for the girl to rip her cloth off. How is a pathetic life and society? Are women one of the victims of this issue? I think so. Women are always involved in sex issue. I think people should pay more respect to female gender, even in a digital world.

Recently, Microsoft has advertised a new kin line of phone that encourages sexting among teens. However, there were many compliant, so the company decided to pull out the ad. Sexting - sending explicit photos and texts via mobile phones - is a growing problem for parents, teachers and police around the world. It is a personal thing for the user but according to a high technology, there are problems that come afterward. Teenager is still very young to differentiate the right and wrong. This ad may cause a serious problem. It is not wrong to be creative but I think people sometime go beyond that.

The internet is a perfect drug delivery system because you are anonymous, aroused and have role models for these behaviours," Layden said. "To have drug pumped into your house 24/7, free, and children know how to use it better than grown-ups know how to use it -- it's a perfect delivery system if we want to have a whole generation of young addicts who will never have the drug out of their mind." I am totally agreed with that. I think we use the main feature in a wrong way. It was invented to give people an easier and faster life but we turn it into something dangerous. I think this is a serious case. Our society will turn into dangerous place. We will not be able to recover it. We have chance to use a good side of it but people choose the reverse side. Our society has become a slave for this human invention.

According to Singel article, the panelists all agreed that the government should fund health campaigns to educate the public about the dangers of pornography. I think is a great idea because this will create people awareness. Therefore, they can protect their child from the dark side of the internet. Education might be the only way that can resolve from a tiny part to a bigger one. I believe that if people have enough knowledge on each issue or topic and they aware of it side effect, this will enable to cure our society in some way. I think education will at least guide they to a good and bad side of it.

Cybersex is such a harmful object offer by the internet. We should stop them before it spread wider to our future generation. So, if that happen I think there is no way to cure this tragedy society.

Do you want a second life? No,I don't

When I was in secondary school, my dream job is architecture. I love to see a beautiful house and landscape. I have always dream to work within that industry but it will never happen. It is because I hate Math, so that is it. How can architecture fail math? That unfriendly subject at school faded my dream away. I am now studying something completely different but I am happy with it. So, why do people want a second life?

By the way, what do people really want in life? Money, house, car, mobile phone, a good job or a happy life. I am the youngest child in the family, so I get whatever I want. But there is still thing that my parents are enabling to support. And my mum used to say that ‘People won’t be able to get everything they want’. At that time, I thought it is not true because I always get what I want. However, I started to realize as I grew up that my mum was right. Also, I was a kid once and I used to be addicted to video game. I grew up with my younger cousin. He is a boy. We play exactly the same game and toy. At the time a play station was very new, so as a kid we were very excited and after that we had become addicting to it. As a young age we suppose to run under a hot sun but we spend most of our time inside the house. I have always thought back on those days. Why won’t I play as a kid?

Similarly, Second Life is another great example of how people turn away from a good thing in a real world. Second Life is a 3D virtual world developed by Linda Lap, which she now had become a millionaire. This online society offers a lot of opportunity for people who need to step their life away from a reality. This is where technology has taken an important part of human life and behaviour. It is where people can be whoever they like and do whatever they want. Furthermore, users have a chance to create their own character call ‘avatar’. The members are enabling to choose body type, skin color, hair style, face or even a gender. Second Life avoided traffic by allowing users to fly from one place to other within a second. This is called ‘teleport’. Everything seems to be very easy and convenience in that digital interact world.

As an article by Jeremy Goldkorn in 2006, one of Chinese woman has become a millionaire in real life by selling a fake land and house in Second Life. She is the first virtual millionaire. According to Goldkorn, Hubei-born Ailin Graef, known in Second Life as Anshe Chung, runs her virtual real estate agency, Anshe Chung Studios, with her husband Guntram Graef. They offer land and houses in places like Dreamland Asia, the Mainland, Gothica, and Furriers. This proved that Meadows statement about this online community is true. Meadows argue that experiences create a grounding of belief. “People in virtual worlds build things, use them, sell them, trade them and discuss them. When another person confirms what I am seeing, places value on it, spends time working to pay for it, buys it, keeps it, uses it, talks about it, gets emotional about it, and then sells it – this tells me there is something real happening. The suspension of disbelief has become a grounding of belief”

How can online money become real? This is unbelievable. Personally, the different between Second Life and reality is such a huge gap. I believe that a real experience is such a valuable thing. I would not be able to identify a real taste of Indian food, if I have never touched it. How can you tell the different between face to face interviews compare to typing and answering thought online communication. It is different. I also believe that being you is the most valuable thing. To say the true I sometime want to be like my older sister. But I am happy with the way I am now, even though I am quite a lazy girl; however people can change.

I understand that people want the best for their life. They want to be someone or something that is incredibly hard to achieve, so they sign in with Second Life. It gives a chance for people who want something more in life which they cannot achieve or do in real life. It is good that people have a goal and determinations. It is not wrong to involve in virtual world but not for me. I have been realized how much time I spend on the Internet each day. It kills the time for my assignment. I better take a good management for my first life before starting to create a second life.

It's a political world

This is my first time writing to the public excluding Facebook and Twitter. I have always been hiding my work from others. I feel embarrassed because of my English wether it’s gramma, punctuation or spelling. Anyway, let’s just do it.

I am not really friendly with political issue. It is always boring to me when it comes to politics. I have always closed my eyes and ears whenever I heard about this topic. But the time has come. I am now going to bang my head on it. Personally, political is another way of people fighting against each other. There is lost and win situations. I have to say that I am overseas student. And I have been living in a country that politic and politician destroyed everything. This might sound harsh but it is true.

Australian politic seems very peaceful to me. By watching from news there is no a harmful issue emerges. But today I am going to talk about one of Australia minor political party ‘Australia First Party’. According to Wiki, their party is based old fashioned Labour Party values that were abandoned by the Australian Labour Party in the early 1970s. They were working under a concept of nationalistic and anti-multicultural and economic protectionist. The party is currently in the process of registering the Australian Electoral Commission.

"For, Australia, we are now moving into the most extraordinary of times.” said Jim Saleam, the NSW director of the Australia First Party. The party has open up a website via many state of Australia. Since One Nation lost its federal seat last 4 years. They are now reformed. I can say that this party is a good example of extremist as they reunion after a lost situation in the past. And they are now announced their goal that they want to move population to environmental issue and working against immigrations. Australia First has come to a stage of no turning back in political world. They want to reach as high as possible in this industry. The party is now working in full stream to raise their goal to the top of the sky.

Australia First has many goals that they want to achieve. "We want to turn ordinary people - suburban housewives, unemployed youth - into political activists. We seek to mmobilize a group of people who have not previously been mobilised. We want to cause disaffection from the regime who governs against their own people. We want to mobilise small-t troublemakers." For me, their policy is fully an idea of political world. It is a useful idea but it will never happen in the real world. It is possible to set in a real world but when is it? I think sometimes political idea doesn’t fit with culture or society that we are live in. Australia First wants to lead citizen to a new policy but they don’t look at others industry situations. They don’t think of an effect that will cause to others industry. That is why they can describe as an extremist. They set up a policy which can create a good image for their party, so population will be supporting them.

Again Australia First has use an Internet as a key factor to reach an audience. They opened website branch in every state of Australia. There is also a blog that provide an update information of it party. Many people participate in their digital tools, which they are clearly against the multicultural issue. AFP (Australia First Party) keep updating news, article or any issue relate to politic in the blog. This is a very convenience way of communicating with member who is in a digital world. It is also easy to gain a new member because technology had taken every part of human life. People who support AFP will easily view information or comment on each topic via the cyber world.
